Adaptive Spike Motor Launch
The ASM sets new standards for launch coasters and other roller coasters with just a few, but absolutely high-tech components. Extremely powerful and highly efficient direct drives transmit their enormous torque directly and almost loss-free to the two redundant racks of the track. Multiple teeth engage simultaneously. They can be shifted against each other, so that the gear automatically adapts to inaccuracies.
The innovative vertical track enables an extraordinarily lightweight design of the train, for example by reducing it to just one boogie per rickshaw, so that the high drive power can be used directly for brute acceleration.
As a result, the ASM Launch is a multifunctional roller coaster system that offers a number of advantages over conventional launch drives, while being significantly more cost-effective to manufacture and operate.

State-of-the-art Seats
As with all Spike systems, particular emphasis was placed on outstanding design when developing the ASM Launch trains. An important component of the trains are their highly functional seats:
- Comfortable seat shells for small children (minimum dimensions depending on the track layout) up to 2.00 m tall people
- Large footwell for comfortable and spacious seating
- The generously dimensioned overhead bars are available with or without a seat vest, so that even special layouts with heavy braking manoeuvres can be mastered comfortably.
- Full-suspension boogies ensure vibration-free riding.
- Additional safety enhancement thanks to permanent monitoring of the safety functions, even while riding.
- Easy integration of multimedia such as sound, display and buttons etc. in the seat without additional batteries on board
- High-quality and spectacular lighting effects thanks to built-in LED strips

Energy efficiency
Highest efficiencies with very low losses lead to significantly lower electrical connection values than e.g. LSM coasters, whose efficiency is inevitably reduced to a maximum of 70% due to the air gap between the stators. -
Recuperation
Thanks to the system's recovery of braking energy and the absence of eddy current brakes with the usual heat conversion, the energy consumption is unusually low. -
Lightweight construction
The trains, which are very lightweight, particularly due to the vertical track, enable a lean supporting structure with correspondingly few and small foundations. -
Shorter trains
The vehicle's distance control replaces block sections and enables short dispatch intervals without affecting the ride with block brakes. The same transport capacity can be achieved with smaller trains, which reduces the load on the supporting structure and leads to additional savings. -
Ease of maintenance
The Spike system is designed for a long service life and low life cycle costs. Regular maintenance is simplified as no installations such as brakes and drives are required on the track and only the trains in the maintenance area need to be checked mechanically and electrically. -
Low connected load
The intelligent control no higher than that of small family coasters. and energy management system results in a very low electrical connection value of the system, which is no higher than that of small family coasters.
