 With SPIKE® Tandem, drive, control and multimedia are integrated directly into the vehicle. Speed, acceleration, direction and show sequencing can be programmed precisely along the entire track and synchronized with external show elements.

This allows a single system to combine slow, immersive scene-based movement with dynamic coaster sequences and interactive elements - without requiring separate ride technologies for each type of experience.

Immerse and Discover

Precise positioning, slow movements, stops, oscillation and reverse travel allow the vehicle to be closely synchronized with sets, media and show effects. The movement of the vehicle itself becomes part of the storytelling.

The Family Thrill Coaster (up to 60 km/h)

Accelerate and Feel

Programmable acceleration, braking and speed profiles create dynamic coaster experiences with banked turns, sprints and - depending on the configuration - inversions. Depending on the vehicle and restraint system, the attraction can be designed for riders from 1.00 m in height.

SPIKE® Tandem complements the fixed track geometry with freely programmable ride dynamics. The same platform can create different stories, intensity levels and forms of interaction.

Evolving Through Software

New storylines, seasonal overlays and modified ride profiles can be implemented through software updates - often without changes to the track infrastructure. This allows the attraction to evolve over time.

Dark Ride and Coaster in One System

Immersive low-speed scenes transition seamlessly into dynamic coaster sequences. Motion, media and show effects can be precisely synchronized to create one continuous experience.

Ride-to-Ride Variety

Different ride profiles, show sequences and interactive decisions can change how each journey unfolds and feels. This creates new reasons for guests to experience the attraction again.

Four Riders. One Shared Perspective.

 

Four seats arranged in tandem create a distinctive shared experience. Instead of conventional two-abreast seating, the riders travel together along a single axis.

  • Shared experience: The tandem arrangement creates a strong sense of experiencing the journey together.

  • Closer connection: The seating configuration supports direct communication and shared reactions throughout the ride.

  • Clear sightlines: The slim vehicle silhouette supports an open forward view for every rider.

  • Enhanced accessibility: An optional, TÜV-approved special belt used together with the lap restraint can enable a broader range of guests with certain physical disabilities to ride securely. Suitability is assessed individually in accordance with the applicable operating and safety requirements.

The slim tandem silhouette and extensive GRP bodywork provide broad freedom for authentic, project-specific vehicle theming. The technical chassis recedes behind the visual identity of the story.

  • Versatile vehicle characters: The tandem layout supports straddle-style and aerodynamic designs - from futuristic speeder bikes and mythical dragons to flying carpets and sleek racing vehicles.

  • Design freedom: A compact technical chassis provides extensive freedom for individually designed bodywork and detailing.

Automated Recovery. Uninterrupted Immersion.


  • Automated Recovery Vehicle: In the event of a fault, a purpose-built recovery vehicle can travel to the affected ride vehicle, couple automatically and return it together with the riders to the station.

  • Integrated into the Attraction Design: Track-based recovery can reduce the need for visible recovery infrastructure. This helps preserve elaborately themed indoor environments and maintain the integrity of the story world. The specific solution is developed in accordance with the project’s safety and evacuation concept.
