The track that

The track is the foundation of every Spike system - and at the same time the key to layout flexibility. What all track systems share is the integrated rack that engages the Spike drive by positive locking. This decouples the layout from gravity: vertical climbs, tight curves, and 3D layouts become possible.

How the Spike track works
01 / rack
Integrated rack
A rack is integrated into every track, engaging the drive by positive locking - for 100% driving force at any position. The track also carries a busbar developed specifically for high speeds, supplying the vehicle with energy.
02 / Loads
Vertical and horizontal
Three track systems cover different applications and load requirements. A backbone - an additional support tube - can increase the span further where needed; for extreme spans, bridge constructions are also possible.
03 / precision
Manufacturing precision
The highest manufacturing precision - from our in-house, closed-loop 3D-spline bending machine through laser-tracker position monitoring to robot-assisted grinding - ensures excellent ride comfort and rack toothing in machine-building quality. Branches and connections of the supports are likewise produced with the utmost precision on a dedicated manufacturing jig.
04 / Supports
Supports & foundations
Matching supports carry the track - adapted to load, height, and terrain, from the slim single support to complex load-bearing structures. A range of foundation options is available: from bucket foundations and anchor cages through doweling for indoor applications to ground-anchor solutions for sensitive areas. In addition, a complete range of vibration-damping solutions from our own production - of the kind used in marine Spike coasters - is available.

Large Vertical Track
Designed for higher loads and larger vehicles. The same track carries both the large thrill coasters of the Spike Fun family and the passenger transport applications of the Spike Mobility family. A rack is mounted on each side of the upper running tube - this delivers twice the driving force and provides redundancy at the same time: if one side of the drivetrain fails, the other takes over so the vehicle can keep running.
